    1. 3.5 starsIn my review for the prequel, Every Time A Bell Rings (where Mike made his first appearance), I said (my own quote) "I want him to have his own story with his third cousin, twice removed, so he can be a "certified redneck" (Brian's word) *lol*."This was apparently Mike's story. It opened with Mike being at the party (where he called Brian to tell him about his third cousin, twice removed). I admit that I didn't get to this as smoothly as the previous book. I think few things were glosse [...]

    2. 3.5*In Every Time A Bell Rings, I wanted Mike to find someone for himself too!In this story, Mike is home in Arkansas spending Christmas with his family, he loves his family and does not want them to know he is gay, for fear of their reaction. So when his mother introduces him to his 'cousin' George ( well more like second cousin twice removed and hop skip and jumped over thrice) he knows it's going to be hard to resist the temptation that is George! Mike tells us how cute, adorable and snuggle w [...]

    3. This title was provided free by the author or publisher for review purposes. Review originally posted at Brief Encounters Reviews.Rating: BA really cute holiday story that manages to be fun, while still packing in some depth with issues surrounding coming out and suicide. I did, however, have a few issues with Mike's character which prevented me from awarding a higher grade.Mike has returned to his large family home for the holidays and is already uncomfortable with having to pretend to be butch [...]

    4. Spoiler Alert! While this story can certainly be read as a stand alone book, I think the reader might enjoy it that much more having read Every Time a Bell Rings first. Some of the conversations and events in this book could be considered a little bit spoilery for the first book.I can’t believe that I didn’t know this was a related story to Missy Welsh’s Every Time a Bell Rings from last year’s MLR Holiday stories when I told Cole I wanted to review it. When I started reading, I thought, [...]

    5. **Review for Reviews by JesseWave**The time around Christmas is the perfect time to read a sweet romantic story, on the couch under a blanky with a steaming cup of hot chocolate, with the Christmas tree and the lights twinkling. An Angel gets his Wings by Missy Welsh is such a story. It brightens your mood and has you smiling in no time. It’s no secret that I like all works by Miss Welsh. This author is on my ‘buy immediately’ list, so I couldn’t resist reviewing this latest Holiday read. [...]

    6. This story is the sequel to Every Time A Bell Rings, which I liked. In Every Time A Bell Rings, Mike is the friend who took Brian in when Brian's apartment burned down. Mike took hospitality even further and set Brian up with his neighbor, Trent. We get tiny glimpses of what happens with Mike on his Christmas visit to his parents' home in Arkansas in Brian's book. Now, we have the full story for Mike. Mike's story is a look at acceptance of self as well as from family. Mike moved up north for sch [...]

    7. Anyone who has read my reviews knows I am a huge Missy Welsh fan! Everytime I read one of her books I find characters I love, situations where I'm cheering for them to get their HEA, or to be the victor in the face of someone that causes issues for them. I am completely pulled in to the story and part of their world or their life for a little while. She did it again! An Angel Gets his Wings is a sequel of sorts to the 2011 story "Every Time a Bell Rings", I say a sequel of sorts because it actuall [...]

    8. Mike is in Arkansas with his rich family, he left behind his best friend Trent Hoping to match make him with his neighbor Trent. In Arkansas He finds he has a cousin he didn't know about that is sex on a stick.I am going to have to say that this story just didn't strike me like some do. I am not saying it was bad, just not my cup of tea. It was actually cute and had a sort of humor to it that was probably what lost me. The actual story was hot and sweet. Perhaps if it had been longer and somewhe [...]

    9. 3/5An excellent coming out m/m romance focusing on all the raw realities for young gay teens. You meet George, recently lost his mother - and a father who makes him homeless for bring gay. Then you meet Michael. A guy who fears coming out to his southern family.Missy welsh deals head on with really tough themes, including attempted suicide - but manages to keep it positive, light, fluffy. All in all, solid and well written LGBTQ literature. This is a short story with a point and purpose. Loved it. [...]

    10. I won this story and Every Time a Bell Rings! If you love romantic Christmas stories as much as I do, you will love these ebooks. Family love, coming out, grief, acceptance and love are some of the themes at An Angel Gets His Wings. It is a lovely story about never give up because you don't know when love will find you. I hope Missy will tell us more about this cute couple of cousins twice removed or something like that, lol, and the couple in ETABR ;)

    11. Seeing that candy cane on the cover now makes me laugh. You have to read the book to find out why. Such a nice, sweet story of Mike coming home for xmas with his family and meeting his "cousin" George. George with the bandages on his wrist. Mike who has never come out to his parents. I wanted to cuddle both these guys. Soo cute!

    12. A very cute follow-on to the first story which I didn't realize until I read Ruby's review and recognized some things. I was happy to see Mike's story. I love me a flamboyant twink and it was nice there was no family drama. George's issues were not explored too deeply, but I was so glad that the ending suited the story and there was no declarations of ever-lasting love after 48 hours.

    13. Oh i loved thisMike and George.I don't think it was as good as Brian and Trents story but it was still sweet and cute (yes very cute)And the way he came out to his family Oh so sweet (view spoiler)[ DaddyI'm gayDoesn't matterYour my Son (hide spoiler)] Too cute x

    14. 3.75 starsAnother sweet Christmas novella from Missy Walsh. I do hope that we get to see more of Mike and George!
